Parotta is a popular South Indian flatbread, especially famous in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is made from refined wheat flour (maida), layered and rolled to create a soft inside and slightly crispy outside. The dough is stretched, folded, and cooked on a hot tawa with oil or ghee, giving it its signature flaky texture. Parotta is usually served hot with chicken curry, beef curry, egg curry, or vegetable gravy.
